George Walker’s paean to the indomitable human spirit in the midst of the comic outrage of the vicissitudes of fate: broken bodies; punctured beliefs; and kangaroo courts.
The distressed imagery allowed for an easier printing. If something was out of register it didn’t really matter.
Like many of the posters in this series, imagery was swiped from existing printed sources. In this case, the image is a photograph of a crowd surrounding a woman in pain who is laying in the street. Thru cropping and turning the image upside down, its context is changed.
