Three homeless people meet around a campfire and spontaneously act out a typical middle-class breakfast scene.
I used irregular letter spacing and an open composition to make the traditional typestyle and illustration uncomfortable. This poster was a bitch to print. My credit especially: 8 pt. Garamond.
With many of these posters, the day I would package up and deliver the posters to the theatre was always a combination of exhaustion, (usually up all night printing) joy (hey, i made these posters), and trepidation (the theatre usually scratched their heads and were mildly disappointed with what I had made for them). In this case, after I dropped off the posters (whew, no one was there), I got a call from the artistic director who said, “Paul, there is a problem with the posters.” I asked her what the problem was and she said, “The name of the theatre is crossed out.”
